In order to increase dialogue within the media and civil society circles, A4T has been organising media forums to give space to journalists and media managers to discuss pertinent issues on media and corruption. These discussions bring together different media organisations, yet with common intentions in brainstorm on challenges, opportunities and ways in which they can expose corruption and promote transparency and accountability in the public sector.
Here is a brief of the forums we have held in the recent past:
- Media and Corruption: The Public Interest – Press Club
- Gender and Corruption: Does corruption affect men and women differently
- Forum with Editors
- Annual Journalism Excellence Awards: Good Governance Award
- Community Media Forum
- Media Forum on Access to Information Act
- Role of the Media in Political Accountability
