This year’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) highlights that the majority of countries are making little or no progress in ending corruption, while further analysis shows journalists and activists in corrupt countries risking their lives every day in an effort to speak out.

Kenya has made a dismal improvement in the fight against corruption according the CPI by Transparency International.  Kenya scored 28 points out of the possible 100, a slight improvement from 26 points in 2016 and 25 in 2015. However, the score is still lower than the combined average score for Africa which is 32.
