It has been three years since the construction of a Nairobi South Health Centre. Now standing incomplete with cracks all over its main walls. A heap of garbage at the entrance of the two-storey health facility which lies idle. Even after gobbling-up Ksh 24,043,600million (USD230,000) – at least from what is known to have been allocated in the 2016/2017 financial year by the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) of Starehe Constituency in Nairobi.
Action for Transparency (A4T) investigative grantee, Lenah Bosibori explored why this and other incomplete constructions, meant to serve the public, were far away from commencing its operations as health facilities.
