GIJN, is an international association of journalism organisations that support the training and sharing of information among investigative and data journalists, with 182 member organisations in 77 countries. It organises the Global Investigative Journalism Conference (GIJC) which has brought together more than 8,000 journalists from 140 countries since 2001, to share experiences, learn from expert speakers, network with kindred spirits, and find new partners for their next investigations. In 2019, Abraham Mariita, Communications and Civic Engagement Officer at TI-Kenya, participated in the 11th GIJC.
